No degree. Plenty of shipped software.
I'm Syed Ibrahim Ali, a self-taught developer living in Islamabad. I finished school in 2019 and decided to learn to program the expensive way: by building things people would actually pay for.
What I lack in paper qualifications I make up for in shipped work — over 200 completed orders, a 4.96/5.0 rating, and clients who've stuck with me through dozens of projects.
I'm honest about my limits: I don't claim cloud or DevOps roles I can't do. I build desktop software, automation and scraping pipelines — and I do that well.
How I work
Plan first. Requirements → analysis → quick discussion → early builds for feedback → final delivery.
Communicate plainly. If something's hard, I say it's hard — then I go solve it. I close every message like a real person, not a support bot.
Finish. The biggest compliment I get is the same client ordering again. Repeat business is the whole game, and it's how I've made the last five years work.
2019 → now
The start
Decided to become a developer. Built my first C# projects and got hooked on the desktop side of things — software you can see and click.
First real build
DedSec Media Player — an encrypted, license-protected video player for Windows and Android. A hardware-ID keying system nobody cracked. Built partly to repay the mentor who taught me.
Going open source
Launched the EasingSoft organisation with open-source tools — including cnic, my most popular project that decodes Pakistani national ID numbers from a single 13-digit string.
AI + desktop, together
UltraScaler: a GPU-free AI image upscaler for stock-site contributors. Worked on low-end PCs — because not everyone owns a render farm.
Scraping turned into a career
Took on clients in every timezone. Built scrapers that survive anti-bot systems, CRM panels, loyalty systems and automation tooling for marketing teams.
The deep work
A year of flagship builds: a Bluetooth civil-engineering tool (SmartDCP), real-estate deal analysis (DealFinder), and a run of finance software — PSX tools (Sohrab, TradeBot), a fintech suite (Finqalab) and an API-reversed stock viewer (Investify). Still at it, one order at a time.
